Hugo’s mother, Jennifer Fleeger, came to visit our classroom one morning and treated the class to a violin show. The elementary class even joined us to watch the show. Ms. Fleeger first showed the children her violin, then she explained its parts and how she takes care of it. They truly enjoyed the several tunes she played for the class. The children had many questions and most of it was about what the violin is made of. They were particularly interested in the string of the bow because it is made out of horse’s hair. She even let them touch the strings, which most of them found exciting.
