On Friday, the students enjoyed a fun warm Spring day celebrating St. Patrick’s Day by dancing and taking a nature walk. They learned to dance an Irish jig with Mrs. Paseltiner, who gave them some basic steps to practice. Many of them practiced after the lesson had finished, trying to master the box step. Then the students went outside to find signs that Spring has come, including a blooming crocus, stems of daffodils, new green grass, clovers, buds on trees, and more. They enjoyed walking around the school grounds discovering all of these signs of Spring and went back to the classroom to draw and write about what they found. Even Larry the lizard got into the spirit of things and climbed up on a material to watch the students do their work.
It was a day!
