Our First Few Weeks Of School

We have been reviewing a lot of lessons in our class that help the children develop independence and freedom of choice. These are very important lessons that will become everlasting as the children grow and experience in different learning environments throughout their life time. Some of these skills include being aware of each others’ needs and enjoying their own needs as each one works on their individual lessons. Other skills include inside walking and talking, moving chairs from one table to the next and quietly observing someone’s work without disturbing other students who are concentrating throughout the room. The students are having a great time practicing these skills while also developing friendships.
