I had an amazing time in Hawaii with my husband and son. Hawaii is a beautiful State….a part of our beautiful world! The mountains were magnificent and the ocean was crystal clear. I was able to experience the thrill of walking on an actual active volcano and seeing the sulfur smelling smoke seep through holes and craters in the ground. I had the opportunity to snorkel in the Pacific Ocean and swim directly over a huge sea turtle. There were also absolutely beautiful fish swimming near me that looked neon colored. I saw dolphins and all types of birds. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular.
One of the main reasons for my trip was to hear my son, Tim perform on the cruise ship. The group that we were with was called “Harmony at Sea” and included many wonderful singers. They all put on a show in the ship’s theater. Tim performed a set of songs from his CD and then I had the privilege to sing a song with him. It was so much fun!
I could share so many different experiences, but then I would go on and on! I must say that one of the nicest things that happened to me was returning to all of the children! I missed them and when they saw me they welcomed me with opened arms! I felt so loved! Many of the children drew pictures or gave me cards…….they even made a welcome back sign. Also I appreciate so much all that Mrs. Diffendal and Mrs. Greenland did while I was gone. Also I so appreciated Mrs. Reed doing our wash every day.
A special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Kelly who allowed and encouraged me to take this trip of a lifetime.
I miss the warm weather of Hawaii, but I’m very thankful and glad to be back!
