I want to thank both Mrs. McQuade and Mrs. Fine for helping the children prepare the gardens this past week. The children loved having the chance to explore, tend the weeds and plant some fall flowers. They were able to see what their vegetable garden had produced for harvesting-a variety of tomatoes. They will continue to have special talks and take care of their gardens, as well as, learn about all the unique things that happen as the Fall season approaches. I would encourage everyone to take neighborhood walks, the children can learn and share so many of their interest with you.
I hope all of our parents and students enjoyed the September Social. The children loved showing their parents and guests all of their work in the classroom. I would greatly encourage all of you to make an appointment to come and observe the classroom frequently, so you can see what your child is learning and enjoying working with. I hopefully the classroom gave you ideas you could apply to home activities.
