On Thursday, the Elementary class had a wonderful field trip to Washington’s Headquarters in Valley Forge National Park. During the field trip, the students learned about George Washington’s leadership and the characteristics of a true leader. It was a beautiful day to visit the old historic building and the replicas of the log cabins. As they explored the headquarters, the students were guided to look for evidence of how George Washington was a leader during the Revolutionary War. They also heard about other important figures in the war who stayed at the house. It was interesting to go back in time and learn about that period in American history. The students also enjoyed learning about Reading Railroad and watching a long cargo train pass by.
