In our primary classroom, the children can bring a special interest to show to their friends on their snack days. Hugo brought his viola one day, which he proudly and gladly played to his friends and teachers with his father, Joe, who played the cello. This was not the first time Hugo played viola for the class but this was the first time he was accompanied by his dad. He was very eager and excited to play for us the songs he had been practicing. His dad’s instrument brought many questions from his classmates as the size of his viola looked 100 times smaller than the cello. It was interesting to see and to hear. Although the instruments looked similar, the notes they made sounded different. We definitely had fun listening to the music they played for us.
