Here at VFKH we believe that it is important to reach out to people when they are in need. We will be making origami cranes to help the thousands of children effected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Oshkosh B’Gosh is collecting the origami cranes for Japan. For every crane collected, they will donate an item of clothing to the children of Japan. For the Japanese people cranes are believed to be a powerful symbol of health and well-wishes.We will be making cranes in all of our classrooms and delivering them to the OshKosh store. If you are interested in making cranes with your family, you can find more information at oshkoshbosh.com. If you would like the school to deliver any cranes you make at home, please send them in by Spring Break. Thank you to Mrs. Brennan for sharing this great idea!!
